Welcome to InstaScout!

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our mobile application, InstaScout, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

  • - Monthly subscription fee is automatic and can be cancelled at any time during the course of the month, you will not be charged for the remainder of the month.

  • - Failure to cancel the subscription, and it will be automatically withdrawn from your account and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • - Under no circumstances are explicit videos allowed on the app, failure to comply with this policy and your account will be permanently suspended.

  • - The content is not to be used as advertisements for other platforms.

  • - Any videos posted on the app are secure and protected by our privacy protection service.

  • - You must be over 18 to send or receive messages or requests from coaches or scouts without parental consent.
    With parental consent: you may send and receive messages and requests from scouts from the age of 16. Under the age of 16, all messages will include a consenting third party, which can eventually be removed once the player turns 16.

Safeguarding Policies

Sports organizations and clubs are required to have safeguarding policies in place. These policies often dictate how and when coaches can contact young athletes.

Parental Consent

Coaches generally need parental consent to communicate with athletes under the age of 16. This applies to direct communication via phone, email, or social media.

Two-Deep Leadership

To protect both the athlete and the coach, communications are often encouraged to be conducted with a second adult present or copied in, such as a parent or another coach.

Purpose and Timing

Any communication should be professional and related strictly to sporting activities. For instance, arranging practice times or conveying important team information.

Organization Guidelines

Specific sports organizations may have their own detailed guidelines. For example, the Football Association (FA) and other national governing bodies have strict codes of conduct.

Training and Awareness

Coaches are often required to undergo safeguarding training to understand the appropriate ways to communicate with young athletes.

Deleting Your InstaScout Account

You can delete your InstaScout account at any time (including if you want to revoke your consent to our use of your information pursuant to applicable law) using our in-app delete my account feature. When you delete your InstaScout account, your undelivered messages are deleted from our servers as well as any of your other information we no longer need to operate and provide our Services. Deleting your account will, for example, delete your account info and profile photo, delete your InstaScout message history. Be mindful that if you only delete InstaScout from your device without using our in-app delete my account feature, your information will be stored with us for a longer period. Please remember that when you delete your account, it does not affect your information related the information other users have relating to you, such as their copy of the messages you sent them.

  • - For precise regulations, it is advisable to refer to the specific sports organization's guidelines or the UK’s NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit..

  • - Failure to comply with age restriction rules and your account will permanently suspend.

  • - InstaScout may use your videos for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified / stated in the video. If the video is copyrighted or protected, InstaScout will contact you, asking for your permission to share the video on social media platforms or for promotional purposes.
